I am out of practice with getting videos done, and my time table is short, so I'll do a text update for now.

Had a great weekend with the much of Team Zip-Tie at the Cone Killer Classic hosted by the Central PA region. Fun airport course, and while Hoosiers aren't great there, the seat time was much needed. The car managed to make 14 runs over the weekend without a hiccup, and I get to proudly say that I was in the CP Camaro that didn't catch fire (sorry Pat - https://www.youtube.com/@conemachine)

I had some camera issues (what else is new) Saturday, but here is my best Sunday:

In between sessions on Sunday I swapped my solid upper link for a pull bar to soften the hit to the tires. Hard to know if it did much, but I don't think it hurt.

When I got back into town, I finished 3D printing some canards for the front of the car.

If you want to see more on that, just hop to my other thread here - https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/f...-location-design-angle-and-size/233541/page2/

I head out Thursday morning for the Finger Lakes National tour. I'm the only CP car, so I hope to get some good testing in ahead of Nats.

Hadn’t checked in on this build in a while, wow!
Been looking at learning Fusion 360, on the canard design, is there an iphone scanner app or was it just a picture imported into Fusion? Discovering there is much to learn in 3D printing and an incredible amount of materials and technologies available, at various prices of course.

Thanks!

My phone (iPhone 16 Pro Max) has built in lidar, but I had to use an app called "Polycam" to get the data. It has a monthly fee, but I just used it once for this project and then cancelled.

I'm pretty excited about what we can do at home with 3D printers now, and I have a basic cheap one. I'll be upgrading in the future for sure so I can do more functional prints for the car.

Here are my best two runs from the SCCA Finger Lakes National Tour this weekend. I hope to have a bigger update video coming out, but this will hold me over for now.

The first day was tight, but fun. I knew my tires were getting close to done, but I didn't realize how close. I just corded my fronts on day on my last run.

I did bring a spare set of fronts on my narrower (13" wide) wheels and threw them on for day two, but when I got to grid I noticed my rears were about to show cords too. I knocked down the rebound and tire pressure a bunch and just sent it. It wasn't fast, but it was fun.

I did end up winning my class, but that was a given since I was the only one. Either way, great practice for Lincoln. I'm going to do a rear suspension tweak and I think we'll be ready to go!
