Trunk Weather stripping

Hi guys,
Ready to install the new trunk weather stripping from Soff seal and wanted to make sure I put this in correctly. I dry fitted it both ways and to be honest I cant tell which is the correct orientation. Any help would be great.........

This weatherstrip is from GM which I purchased in 1985. If you have an aftermarket strip then it may differ.

So which way do you think is closest to the factory set up? The seals I bought were from soff seal.......

High side should go outward.

Correct.
And the ends should meet at the bottom center.
Weather strip adhesive should be used to seal the ends together.

So the last pic I posted is the correct orientation, correct? The one that shows an extra rib facing outwards........

To be honest it looks like its upside down in the last picture. In your 1st picture the way it is on the left hand side looks correct. It should go like in my picture but mine has been compressed by the trunk lid for years. The shark fin side goes up and points outward. If you reverse the direction in the 2nd picture I think you will have it.

I like the 1st and 2nd pic. The 3rd pic looks like it’s upside down.
If I was in person then I could tell. Why the aftermarket can’t make it the same
way GM did is beyond me. I guess China can’t reverse engineer.

Hi guys,
The first pic shows it both ways. On the left it leans towards the trunk while the right is the opposite. The last pic I believe is similar to what they show in the video. Attached is a profile pic of the install in the third pic above. Im thinking this is the correct way but just want to double check. Thanx guys...........
