I LIKE the idea of an electric jack, BUT I ALSO have watched how the smaller electric tools have evolved over the past 40 years. My first electric screwdriver was nice, until the battery crapped out or I lost the unique charger for it. Bought another one, same thing.

Bought a B&D 18V pole saw to trim trees with. Worked great! I could put enough rood on the ground that the battery would recharge by the time I got it picked up and at the curb for pickup. It would run about 35+ minutes each night. It finally failed, so I bought another one (for more money). Then the "brick" battery would not fit the handle as the plastic shrunk, so it was rendered useless.

The issue, back then, was that "the popular brand at the time" changed their voltages and related batteries and chargers. If another brand had a tool you needed, you bought THEIR charging system and battery . . . as they were not compatible with what you had. THIS was a big turn-off to me! Things are getting better in this reapect over the past 10 + years, though, but they still exist that way.

The unanswered question is "Why are Mil______________ batteries so danged expensive compared to other brands and such?"

Enjoy!

GPS WENT DEAD...LOST
One other concern is that "caster wheels" is an option, the lowest cost one with casters is $600. And personally I do not think one without casters is very useful.

So far I'm not overwhelmed with their customer service. I had an issue trying to buy a jack from them via paypal. I emailed them to see what's up, two days ago, no reply.

Wow, now I’ve seen it all. How lazy can you be that you can’t pump up a hydraulic floor jack. If you’re that weak, ask your wife or GF to pump it for you. LOL.
That's awesome you experienced such great health and lack injuries that this seems so silly for you, God is good. :)

Not trying to be a jerk by saying this, but you should start saving for a lift.
One of my "garage dreams" is to get a lift since I have to do everything twice because my car is so low. You cannot get a jack under it if you lift the front or back all the way, the first time. Lots of moving, bending, positioning jack stands, chocking and checking so I do not kill myself. I hate getting on the ground then standing up repeatedly because it hurts. Also, the jack will barely get under the front crossmember to start the whole process and the handle has to be between the air dam and the front tire just to have enough room to get it started.
Is it bad that I have even thought of getting the concrete cut and digging a "pit"?
I might look into one of those "lifts" you slide under the car. I think they can be operated with the compressor. I just do not think they look super safe.

Oh yeah, the original topic looks a bit "plasticky" which does not inspire confidence with me. The automaticness is very attractive but, it also looks taller than a good low profile jack. I wonder if it would fit under the car enough to even start the process?

I've measure and checked and remeasured for one, I don't have the ceiling height for one. A two post mid lift would give me more room but not enough to justify the cost IMO. Jack stands and some pain gets me 20ish inches up, more if I work at it, the highest I could go with my ceiling height is 36ish. I've been looking into moving but it's damn hard to give up my 2.75% interest and pay more for a old trailer on more land. If something comes up in Black Canyon that fits my needs and the retirement budget I'll move and be able to get the lift, but until then I think the chepo air bag jacks are going to be my solution.

I've had a steady job since I was 12 years old, no way I'm going to do anything to screw up the retirement plans.

BTW, if you want to try the air bag lift let me know and we'll figure out how to get yo mine to try.
