Other night on way home on thruway doing 70 for a bit my car trans was stuck in 4th when I tried to down shift to slow for tolls. I gave it a good push and popped out. It shifted fine rest a way home . Today fire it up, trans making noise letting clutch in and out, whining noise. Go for ride , sounds more gear noise than I’m used to, shifts okay 1st, second, third and forth are grinding going into gear, I can hold clutch in and slow trans down to shift smooth but any thing abrupt it’s grinding 3rd and 4th. My first thoughts are re align the shifter rods. I have the hurst comp plus shifter. Other than that I think I broke it already and might be going Overdrive sooner than I thought

sounds like synchronizer rings may be broken. Broke mine once only way to shift without noise was to speed shift and ram it into next gear and double clutch to downshift

Sounds right, it’s gotta come out. I already got a quote from American power train while back . I just been waiting for right time . I’m going with the .82 od 5 speed. My cams to lumpy for the .67 , 244/.600,110lsa. Unless you guys think other wise .....70 should be around 2600 with .82 and 26” tire.

If you ever decide to sell your shifter I am interested. When covid is over and the boarders open again, we will travel to see our family in Ontario. Have crossed many times at Niagara Falls

I think you are good with the .82 OD. I have the .64, 3.08 (3.73 going in tomorrow) with a bit less cam than you on a 110 lsa, and I can get away with it, but I think .82 will be more practical and useful for you.

for 4.11 gear so with the 2.87 first my 3.70s are really close at 4.05.
