I put a dash pad in mine, and it looks really great. Only thing on mine, towards the bottome, kinda next to your steering column my bad does not fit 100%. If you dont know its there you wont really notice, but i have a eagle eye on things and notice every little thing lol

And bobby you have a awesome ride! Always been a fan of the 70's and 80's cars and music! Actually 80s music is pretty much all i all listen to. Im 27 and all my friends make fun of me because of all my so called classic music
black sabbath, metallica, slayer, priest, maiden, motorhead megadeth anthrax etc and so on the only way to go IMO thanks

Finally "finished" the car and took my first ride this past Sunday on March 23rd - two years from the time I brought it home. It was great! Thumbs up signs from several people on the highway, people came over to talk to me at the gas station and car wash. Very successful drive (the criteria for successful being that the car made it out, and back home). Not a lot of 2nd Gens on the road in my area, so a car with a 3 foot Z28 stripe down the side is going to stand out a little. :)

Posted this pic of my very first drive already on another thread, but thought it would be good to also add here on the progress thread....

funbobby your car looks great,i cant remember ever seeing a white one that looked that good at least not around here anyway

Your Car and the transformation

WOW - Just WOW - What a beauty - I Love your car !!! The dashwork is spectacular. Keeping these old gauges alive is a chore.... This is a very impressive ride man !

Thanks for the compliments Hivelocitie! It was truly a labor of love to get this car on the road! My project was NOTHING compared to many I've seen on the forum, but I learned a lot!

I like stories with happy endings. You brought back your good memories, well worth the effort I'd say.

Congratulations , job well done .

Btw...when you do get around to installing a new motor ......post that project too...be interested in seeing what you come up with.

I really enjoyed reading your story and seeing the progress on your Camaro. It nice to know so many people have a special attachment to the camaro.

Car looks great I enjoyed reading your story. I had a 1980 Berlinetta code 40 lime green my uncle bought brand new which I bought from him in 1988 when I turned 16. I loved my car and the color. In 1994 I sold it after moving to Florida. It needed a transmission and I was 22 with no money. I regret it. I now have a 1979 z28 camrine red with osyter interior. I keep debating on painting it green like the one I had.
