Currently 104 degree's with the himidex.
Wont be long now Dave. It's hard to stay motivated I know, but nice weather is here and you need something to cruise in on these humid nights.;)
And just think of the time you'll be able to spend on the new toy when it's done.
Speaking of which, I spotted a 55 three days ago in my sons, girlfriends, fathers shop. (mouthful) Stripped, metal work done and left alone for many years now.
Negotiations have begun.
And my Camaro flew through inspection today after 4 weeks of bustin my hump daily on it.

Tonight I took the seats and seat belts all out again, opened up the deadener and laid it out on the floor of the garage. I just have to pull the shift handle off, once I figure that out, and vacuum & wipe the floor down. Then I can start to lay out the carpet! :D

Well, I figured I'd start to get everything ready so I can start the carpet Saturday. I put the old one back in loose so I could take some reference pictures:

I want to pull the shifter out, so I can cut the hole, but either it's being stubborn or it's just me. I found a couple of links on the subject and one that COPO had showing how a ITM shifter comes apart. I tried following his direction, but to no avail! See here for details:

I'm going to take a break, eat some dinner and then try again! :(

Well, I gave up trying to pull the shifter out. The sun came out after lunch today, so I laid the carpet out for a couple of hours. Well that was warming up, I installed the deadener:

Then I started working on the carpet install. I laid it in the car and started from the rear seat. I installed the deadener behined the seat and bolted it into place:

Then I put the right rear seat in and trimed for the console and shifter:

Then new sill plate:

Lastly, for now, a pair of seat covers. The driver's side is still torn up, but I wanted it to look a little better for now:

Tomorrow, called to have the insurance put back on and after work, cruising time!! :D
