About to start a new project...and I have rust to remove. Thinkng about a Plasma cutter. I see the Chinese units that run on 110V for about $500...anyone have any experience? Harbor Freight has one for $599..and I have a 25% coupon putting it at $450. Anyone?

Also looking for a TIG welder. Home use only. Someone borrowed mine and I can't remember who.

So. Lake Tahoe CA. USA
A buddy has one at his home and had problems with it. I thought he had inlet air problems so I helped him put a better inlet filter system and regulator. Problems still were there.

Put my Hypertherm 30 dual inlet voltage on the same line and compresser and cut through stuff like butter.

Just doesn't seem like the power and precision are there in the HF products to do a simple and clean cut without having to clean up alot of Kerfs and slag...
