Hi all and greetings from Finland.
I´ve had a 95 Z28 for 6 or so years and about 5 years back when I began servicing it myself I did a bit of research into "F-Body history".
I sort fell in love with the looks of 70-73 Camaros and finally, last December I found my baby. It`s a 73 RS LT from Arizona. I got it home February and garaged it...
Now it´s time to get it running and maybe go on the road for a month or two, as is.

I plan on restoring it fully (numbers match) and the paint will be "the legendary" Hugger Orange w/ black stripes.

Can someone help me with the shifter?
The spring and the plate beneath it, where do they go?
full

They don´t seem to function properly as is (the shifter tilts from side to side a lot) though I´m pretty sure this would be the correct place for them.

Everything looks correct to me. You might have the dual gate shifter. If you push over to the right you can slap it up one gear at a time. Welcome to Nasty!!

Thanks all.

The interior was kind of busted, dash torn apart (why?) with just the gauge bezel in the trunk, don´t know if it works...

Engine is a 2bbl 350 block w/ 305 heads.
Haven´t gotten around to see tranny or rear yet, but I hope they´ll be numbers match.

The only bad rust areas I´ve found so far on the floor are beheath both rear seats, so someone must have had some sweaty asses

My garage size is ~10x20 feet, so space is really limited to do anything else but have the car there.
Yesterday I started working on lengthening it some 9 or so feet by tearing down a middle wall and adding the adjasent room to it.
Hopefully will get this gone in the next 2 weeks (my remaining holiday).
Then coming fall/winter hope to get down to tearing the car apart...

And one more salespic

One more pic, featuring my "gm family":
* My garage w/ the 73 in it.
* The red is my daily summertime driver , a 95 Z28, current best 13 @ 108 mph.
* The orange 81 Camino (305) is my winter car, a lot of fun in the snow with it´s weight distribution and no lock...
... and the striped green is my friend´s 93Z (in for some maintenance)

built sheet?

Anybody got a built sheet and an original window sticker (sales sticker) from a 72 or 73 that could perhaps scan and post here?
Just for reference.
And where should I look for the built sheet? Didn´t find it anywhere inside (pass. and rear seats are still on their frames, so if it´s inside the seat...?) nor was it on top of the fuel tank.
Remember reading somewhere that they stuffed the sheet anywhere at random, even inside frame rails, but if I recall correctly, this was done on 1st gen only...

Got the additional space finally ready in October.

Here´s a picture from a few weeks back.
Not much room to mess around in my garage...

And today I got the 327,5cid off.
327,5 because it´s got 305 heads on a 350 block...

Beyond you can see the additional space, not much room to mess about in there either but it´ll have to do.

Bought a small sand blasting cabinet, don´t know where to fit it though...
Next in agenda is to take the front frame off. Then I thought I´d built a rotisserie for the bodywork.

Got something done today.
Frame off and waiting to be sand blasted hopefully 3 weeks from today.

The firewall and chassis bottom are in good shape (except the rear seat undies) and there´s no need for metalwork there. Just clean up and paint.
Also got the small sand blasting cabinet assembled.

And a bunch of stuff awaiting sand...
