Thanks everyone.
Had to do some work to the hood. Its a typical fiberglass hood that doesnt fit right. The middle of the hood stuck up above the fenders about 1/2".
I stripped the paint down to fiberglass then cut a line so I could reshape the edge to the contour of the fenders. Did this to both sides.
Then I made a jig thats the exact shape of the fender top and screwed it onto the edges holding it in place while I put several layers of glass matte and woven matte to keep the shape.
Primed/blocked/painted orange and masked for the stripe.
Painted the stripe/ scuffed then cleared 3 coats, wetsanding up next
Poor car has to sit outside while i work on the hood and paint the spoiler.

Your work is the kind that inspires! Speaking of inspiration... I saw a motion clone at a krusin classics car show this weekend! It was a 78-81 car...red with black stripes. Even though it was a later 2nd gen, it still looked great!
