Small update on fitment. I cannot stress enough, measure twice....

So I noticed my driver front was lower than the passenger side by 1/2", this is causing my front rub.

The fix: trimming the wheel well back and rolling the fender edge flat, ordered a global West shim for the coil spring as I cannot find any other reason for the sag in my hotchkis springs.

Rear, well this is one of those times when you feel like an idiot. I made myself believe that I needed a 1" spacer at least to clear my brembo brakes(which I needed for the fronts). I have rubbing on the offset side of the rear end, passenger side. Which is offset by either 3/8" or 1/2". A quick re-measure of clearance on the brakes shows that my wheels clear the rear calipers without any spacers, by 1/4"!! What the hell.

The fix: I will be measuring this weekend using washers on both sides, I will at the least need a 5mm spacer to clear my suspension with these 11" wheels. So I'm thinking 5mm passenger(offset) and either a 15 or 20mm driver side.

What makes me mad is I spent a good penny on the custom adaptors I had made.

So I'll say again, measure twice!

Update, I've replaced the driver rear with a 15mm adaptor/spacer, and added just a 3mm passenger rear slip on spacer. The visual is that it's perfectly centered wheel to wheel now. So that's a 12mm offset.

For fitment specs, my 11" rear rims are +15 offet, so the corrected offset now is +0 driver rear, +12 passenger rear.

I trimmed the front wheel well back, unfortunately, due to cold weather I was unable to start the car....so no test drive.

I was able to drive the car today and so far so good on the clearances I made for the wheels and the fitment is really nice now.

A few updates, got my spindles back from bigbrakeupgrade. Along with rear brackets and rear bearing/seals, all as a package deal.




Also, I scored a LQ4 6.0/4L80E combo and can't wait to tear into to. This will be my second LS swap. Super stoked.

Looks Awesome. I am about to start my Brembo install with the brackets from Big Brake Upgrade. I am going to try the 2016 rotor up front as it has a 10mm offset compared to the Gen 5 rotor. Hopefully I can avoid wheel spacers. I'm sure I will have many questions for you as I get going.
