made a little progress today, removed oil pan on my th350, should have done it after i had it rebuilt but i didnt think to buy a nice deep sump oil pan, also removed the kick down cable and got my fittings on for the B&M transmisson cooler, got cooler and aluminum rad mocked up, i had to modifiy the rad support a bit to fit the big rad, still unsure if its sitting to high...
Pretty sure that radiator is sitting high and will contact the hood. I had the same problem with my aluminum one also. The factory radiator cap sits on an angle for this reason. My hood, even though it is fiberglass and little different from the factory one, contacted the radiator cap pretty badly. It picked up the pass. corner of the hood about 1/2 inch. And I don't think it sat nearly as high as yours does now. I had to "modify" the bottom of the core support to lower the radiator to clear it. I didn't factor this in when I bought it. The core support follows the contour of the hood which also dictates the angle of the radiator cap. You may even have an issue with the radiator support cover not fitting well if you are using the factory style. Just a couple things to consider.
im going with a charcoal metallic, originally an audi color and changing the interior from grey to black, im thinking some nice pro touring inspired rims in black, kinda give the car a nice look with the tires tucked a little, im not going to run the Z28 graphics like i originally planned. my ideas have changed from the original plan 2 years ago, im almost thinking the charcoal will not be dark enough for the look im after...
