On my last ride while testing new valve covers for oil suction, I found myself driving at a faster pace on a new highway.
A beautiful, flat, clear highway.
I easily maintain my pace and think to myself... this is great anyway.
Flat - no hills, I just lighter tap the gas pedal with my foot and if I needed to accelerate even more, I still have a large and noticeable reserve.

Then I looked at the speedometer and "oh my god!"

I have to commend Hotchkis for their TVS kit and especially you for the great work on the carburetor.
Nice pic! Is that oil gauge original equipment?

That's hilarious. Driver is acting like he's 12 years old (a polite one mind you). What a weinie. "Its my birthday party... I have to call my mom and dad to pick me up!"
The typical Woodbridge area Italian mama's boy. I can say that because of my own heritage. I'm the other type that grew up with back-handers instead of entitlement.

Washed a couple of my cars also. The Camaro’s been parked for 35 years. The Chevelle 4. They were covered a few years ago, but it was difficult to wash the car covers. Found it easier just to wash the cars vs the cover. Now I put a plastic cover over the car cover. Living out in the country, cars get dirty.

Your tach may be off quite a bit too. My factory tach was reading almost 600 rpm too high once it got over 4000 rpm. It was pretty close to perfect at idle and just got worse as rpm increased
I don't know how accurate the tachometer is, but I know that according to the local speedometers on the roads I'm going exactly 50 km/h at 50 km/h. But as mentioned, the accuracy decreases a bit as the speed increases.

But one app on your phone is enough to see how wrong we are :)
