I have been told that if they don’t leak from the get go, they don’t last long before they are shot. I would always rebuild a GM original over one of these China made boosters
Thanks. With yours twisted metals input, I have cancelled the order for the new booster. The old one works, it just has a chipped off part on the plastic collar where it meets the firewall, which doesn’t really hurt anything. I think I’ll paint it black and reinstall it. My initial plan was just to remove it and paint it while the engine is out.I have been told that if they don’t leak from the get go, they don’t last long before they are shot. That’s great info. I appreciate it. I have cancelled the order for the booster. Will use “regular” nuts this time!I bought two of those pretty cad plates ones on eBay.
Neither one worked for long.
I went back to my old booster from my 78 and it’s still working fine.
I was glad I used regular nuts and lock washers because I was able to swap them in under an hour.
(With the car fully assembled.)
