What does this do?

I bought this 79 Z28 project a while ago. There were no door panels on the car. It has electric windows and door locks and they are plugged in, but what do these wires do and where do they sit/hang?

I'm not sure. This one has the standard mirror on the right and the remote adjustable one on the left.

It looks really close to the power lock plug on my 1980 Corvette

I'm pretty sure that is part of the power window harness.

Cool thanks for that. Wiring is not my strong point by a long shot but I'll sit down and study that. The bonus is that diagram will help me wire up the switch on the center console.

I also have a 79 Z-28 ,The wiring is for Key alarm. It hooks up to annoying alarm ( An black 2 x 2 speaker ) that goes off when you leave your drivers seat ,With the car keys left in the ignition .I took mine out when I installed Corbeau seats in my car,

Looks like he's showing a harness that's in the door.

Correct. The first pic is of the drivers door and the second pic is the passenger door.
