It's still under warranty, since it has just over 1,800 miles.
In 1974, General Motors (GM) offered a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.

So it still has 10,200 miles to go. Cool. It should only last... what, 250 more years? Before that threshold is reached, if the owner continues this average. In 1974, General Motors (GM) offered a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.
It’s 12 months or 12,000 miles, NOT both. I hope you knew that.So it still has 10,200 miles to go. Cool. It should only last... what, 250 more years? Before that threshold is reached, if the owner continues this average.
Who knows how much it's been running in the last 51 years. I'd have to be with COPO on this issue I'd be putting new oil and filter in this beautiful car. IMHO, "original oil & filter" is getting a little silly and too risky to the engine for my liking. It’s already lasted 51 years.
So you're telling me that the car is not covered by the factory warranty anymore?! It's only been 51 years, Chevrolet should up their game; it's 2025 already!!!!It’s 12 months or 12,000 miles, NOT both. I hope you knew that.
Are you for real?So you're telling me that the car is not covered by the factory warranty anymore?! It's only been 51 years, Chevrolet should up their game; it's 2025 already!!!!
Sir, I was joking since the beginning. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else. I was just making fun of the fact that the original oil is said to be in the car, and the owner drove it like that. If you look closely at the top of the windshield, there's a decal with 1,700 miles. The car now has more than that, so he did drive it somewhere in between - with half-a-century-fresh motor oil. Either that small-block is invincible, the oil is immortal, or this survivor is on its way to a heart(piston)-attack.Are you for real?I’m done with your nonsense.
