70 Camaro Inner Fender brace

Hi all,

I'm curious about this brace on my passenger side inner fender. Is this a 70-only thing? It isn't on the repops. (I searched "inner fender" and couldn't find any discussion about it.) I've decided to use pieces from a repop inner and the original inner.

I'm finally making some progress... haven't posted since 2022!

Nope, all the 70-73 inner fenders I have seen have that brace.

Probably to support the weight of the battery
