I believe they are located further out originally. That would give more room for them. You’re lucky it didn’t close . Them washers look enormous.

Yup… wrong hole!

As pointed out… get smaller washers on those other mounting bolts before they chip the paint on the quarters.

Don’t know when GM or which plant started to use these but not all 70’s got them. Leave them off unless you want a dinted qtr. Mines a May Norwood car and it didn’t come with them and if they did, they’d be off and fast.

Looks like you chose not to run those rubber bumpers, should I just leave them off too?

Donny - from what our research has shown, 1970 Norwood cars with the 1-pc spoiler received the bumpers, but 1970 LA cars did not. No clue why.
