Thanks man! Your carb work is flawless. Cruise AFR is likely a tad on the lean side because I jetted the mains down a bit, but if I go up on them and restrict the power valves a bit more, cruise and full throttle should be perfect.

It's super responsive, I can casually accelerate in highway traffic without downshifting from 5th and still easily pass trucks etc. Dropping down to 4th or 3rd to pass makes a loud screaming noise from the passenger seat.
Awesome to here that Biker....sounds like your in the sweet spot, maybe 1 jet up on the mains and see what that does, a tad rich on WOT is better than a tad lean, pistons are more expensive than a little extra fuel !

I get the same loud noises from the passenger seat, except it's the wife yelling "ya baby" when I bang it off the chip going up through the gears and hitting 190 kph getting on the highway !!! it happens so quick......she loves the rush....god I love her !!!!

It's certainly not on par with some of the amazing cars on this forum, but it's a solid driver with some good upgrades and I wouldn't hesitate to take it across the country. Next will be the electric brake booster and quick release steering wheel kit.
Dude, my car is motorized bondo.......but wildly reliable. And the AC kind of works. But, i would drive it anywhere as well.

Not the Z, but my other semi-old driver. It's 35 now, just took it for a 1300km road trip. No AC, standard trans, crank windows.
My hearing has mostly returned.

Nice driveway shot, Biker. The times when I do have to wash mine, I only wash from the greenhouse down. A couple reasons really. One, the roof and glass are easily cleaned with waterless or glass cleaner (besides, the roof does not get dirty generally). Two, keeping the water below the glass openings keeps it out of the glass channels and the doors. And three, the one time my car got caught in a major downpour, I had a half inch of water in the passenger floor area, and I've never been able to figure out where that got in.
Still waiting for parts to arrive to rebuild the diff.

Nice Steve! Looking forward to how yours turns out.
I did the same. Doors and lower, then looked for any standing water and dried things up. Hasn't seen water in 4 years.
