I haven't figured this out yet. But, in the time being, if you go to the far left of the thread topic and click on 1977 Z28, it will bring you to the first page of this topic. Then, for whatever reason, if you go to the last page, you will see the most current posts. Sorry about this guys - I figure something out soon.

It looks like there might be some data element used to sort the posts other than the date first posted is squirreled up. Or an index file might need rebuilding.

I have thought about this before. Since the 77 was a low production year and had a horsepower rating of 185, these cars were not collected like early second gen cars. I drove my car to the camaro superfest and carlise all gm nationals, a total of 2000 miles round trip for both of them. I only mention that , because that is how far i have to drive to see another 77 Z! The total number of 77 Z28's I saw were 2 at carlise and 2 at the camaro superfest. These 2 events are the only 2 places on the planet that I am aware of I can go to see another 77 Z. So my question is : how many of you know where there is a 77 Z that you can go see if you want. Does anyone have a guess as to how many 77 Z's there are left in existence today? I am of the opinion that there arent many. Most of them were driven out and junked at an early age. What do you fellow members think ?

Dan believe it or not I had 2 on a car trailer yesterday. First we picked up Major Dads "Shanes" and then I picked up mine. So as of yesterday I have seen the only two that i know of around here. Shane and myself have a good bit of work to do on ours BUT I know one day they will be done. quote: Originally posted by Dan77: I have thought about this before. Dan, I know of one that I could go to right now, and given a couple of days, possibly as many as a dozen. But that's just because I live in a more populated area, have always gotten around quite a bit, and have kept tabs on each one I've seen. The one I know for sure, is on it's second owner. I met the original owner twenty years ago and we kept in touch. he sold it a couple of years ago, and now that I'm back as an outside salesman in the auto parts business, that second owner is now a customer of mine! How many are left? Well, they seem to keep popping up on E Bay all the time (different ones, it seems), so I'd have to say at least 10% still survive (1400 out of 14,ooo plus). They weren't viewed as "collectible" cars back then (really aren't still!), as the '78-81 models easily outsold them, and the 3rd gen. cars outperformed them.

Yep, Chris and I hauled 2 77 Z's to my house and his this past Saturday. Chris's is code 69 Brown and mine is code 13 Silver. It's not every day that you see 2 77 Z's on the same car trailer (at different times of course). On top of that, both of these are numbers matching cars.Appreciate the help you gave me Saturday Chris. Shane

Ok, I'm getting around to starting on the 77 Z. Here's a pic of what it looks like now. Take a good look b/c this will be the last time you see it in this state. The next time you see it, it will look like this:
