Rich: I tried to send you my build sheet. Were you able to open it? My scanner's pretty ancient. |

Sorry Bill, I was referred to a 3D download that just didn't seem to want to work for me. I can't view what you sent. Thanks anyway. For those magazine collectors amoung us, here's another one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=280&item=6960909890&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V |

Dan77, I saw your beautiful and extremely rare 77 Z28 at the Somernites Cruise at Somerset, Kentucky. Out of 1,000 show cars, yours was the only 77 Z. I think you have the only one in Kentucky and it's a beauty. Wayne |

Bill, send me your buildsheet and maybe I can change it into something that Rich can open up. I have already sent mine to Rich. |

Thanks Wayne. Where are all the 77 Z's in this part of the country (Louisville KY). Does anyone have a 77 Z within a 150 mile radius of Louisville KY ? I would drive my 77 that far to see another one. Dan

Yet another 1977 Z28 original magazine article on E Bay: and another: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34214&item=7978125461&rd=1 [This message has been edited by rich m (edited May 31, 2005).] |

I was comparing Bill's build sheet to mine. Both cars are silver with black interior. Bill's interior code is 19N and mine is 19R. Both cars have black vinyl interior. Looking at the 1977 info page on this site, N was the code for vinyl on a type LT and R was the code for vinyl on the sport coupe. Both of these cars are Z28's . There was some debate on earlier posts about the type LT option being added on top of a Z28. Could this be proof that the type LT could be added to a Z28 ? , or is the info on the 1977 page incorrect? |

The LT was a Trim Group that included the deluxe int,blah,blah...You will never see a 77 Z28 with the LT seats FROM the factory. I like the LT seats much better. We talked about this for about a year or so. And black is still the best color for the interior, LOL...It's just an inside joke>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ken

quote: Ummmm.... that's not true, Kenny. read way back to the middle of this thread (Page 21), and I back that point up with factory literature. What we determined last year was that while the Z28 was an option, it was an option only available on the base Sport Coupe, and not the LT. The Sport Coupe came standard with a vinyl interior, but had an optional cloth interior. Either could be had with a Z28. The LT also came with a standard vinyl interior and had an optional cloth interior, but they were different looking than their Sport Coupe counterparts, and neither could be had on a Sport Coupe ..... EXCEPT.... in the case of a Sport Coupe ordered with the Z28 option, in which case the LT cloth interior could be ordered. [This message has been edited by rich m (edited June 01, 2005).] |

Another thought - - I have two '77 Camaros. One is the Z28 and the other is an LT I originally bought for spare parts for an earlier project that I sold (guess I just like these things - hey, everybody needs a hobby). I've been slowly putting the LT back togeather as I find the parts in local junk yards and the Z is about ready for a new coat of paint. Anyway - the cars are very similar - the LT has the courtesy lights under the dash by either door (so does the Z). Also, except for the color, the seats were identical (the LT seats are junk). |

Rich.........The LT seats were different than the regular optional cloth ones in a sport coupe and I had never seen those in a Z28. So how was I wrong?? I guess you could order just about anything. But how many were really special ordered anyway from the factory in such a short model year?? I think any seats like that got in there AFTER it was delivered to the dealer/customer. http://photos.yahoo.com/camaropigs2000 [This message has been edited by kenny77 (edited June 02, 2005).] |

Here is a photo of the interior of a 13,000 mile unmolested 77 Z28 . It has the optional cloth interior. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cobra1993ky/detail?.dir=1685&.dnm=d75b.jpg&.src=ph [This message has been edited by Dan77 (edited June 02, 2005).] |
