I have enjoyed reading all 27 pages posted thus far. My interestes in 77 Z's falls on my dad. When I was little he ordered a black on black 4 speed car. He says it was pretty basic. No bumper guards, power windows, air conditioning or the such. I still remember him banging gears while my sister and I sat in the back seat laughing the whole way. He sold the car in the late 70's/very early 80's to another Air Force guy in Omaha. The car left town for Texas I believe. Dad still has some pictures of the car when new. Maybe I'll get them on a cd so I can email them to anyone who may be interested. Some day soon I would like to add an identical car to my collection. Not right now since the wife will probably divorce me. I just convinced her we needed a new '05 Dodge Magnum R/T. Anyone who has a similar car please keep me in mind if you decide to sell. Also let me know if anyone wants the old pics of the car, I'll scan them. |

Haven't posted here in almost six months now, since, well, ... but I had to check in after having just received notice in my "in box" that there have been recent postings to this thread...... meaning that the thread is STILL active, more than a year after it was started ..... wonder how many threads on this board have ever done THAT? |

I hope to have my 77Z at Carlisle one year soon. I bought it from the original owner about 1 year ago, but I haven't touched it yet - had to finish up the 72 first. It is an all original, numbers matching car that was build the 3rd week of Feb 1977. I plan on starting the restoration process in the next couple of months. Click the camera icon for pics....... |

I've been there 2 out of the last 3 years and I will surely be there next year again. I highly recommend the show and want to encourage all the 2nd gen guys to keep coming out for it and let's improve the attendance from the 2nd gen crowd again this year! I will be there for sure! |

1977 Z/28, Black on black automatic on Ebay. Buy it now for $2500. It's only a roller though. Looks pretty nice and he says it's a 38,000 mile car. Sounds like it was a drag car at one time. Ebay item number 2491543756. Hood looks incorrect, maybe 78-80ish. [This message has been edited by omahafirefighter (edited September 27, 2004).] |
