If you're into '77 Z's pick up a copy of the June 2004 Hemmings Muscle Machines. There's an article comparing the '77 Z-28 to the '78 Trans Am. Not really a great article with any information I didn't already know, but it's nice to see the '77 Z get some recognition. Hemmings Muscle Machines is doing a great job of covering ALL Muscle Cars, not just the same old fare. Check it out! -Nick |

Wish I had a time machine. My 77-1/2 used to specialize in T/As and Corvettes. This was smack in the middle of the hard-core disco era, and the drivers of those cars were always We used to leave smoked T/As in behind on a ten or twelve-a-day basis. Those were great days for hunting juicy prey. I posted here before about humiliating a Chastain Capri being worshipped by Road & Track magazine at OCIR. That may be back about page 2 or 3 in this thread. Any mention of late seventies T/As gets me going... if only those days could come back again. And, in those days, you could look in any magazine and see page after page of products and information for 2nd Gen Camaros. At that time they were the darling of the aftermarket industry. Good luck these days, that's for sure. ------------------ |

Hemmings did recognize the 77 Z in their latest mag issue. The car is even the ultra rare orange metallic. |

I got my 77 LT from my aunt she left it at some tweaker friends house and it got broken into stole the carpet stole the passenger seat and only the driver side back seat. The console turn signals headliner boards. they also tried to hot wire it a few times so most the wires were cut. well after about five years of sitting out side i came and rescued it. took me a few hours to get the wires fixed enough to start it but the ignition lock was hammerd in so i had to buy a new column. Being just outta high school and only scraping buy while going to college its not easy. But i hope to have it painted and the interior done by dec |

What happend to all the 77 Z28's that are usually at the Camaro Superfest? Wayne and myself took our 77 Z's there. This was the first time we had taken our cars to the Camaro Superfest, and we had the only two 77 Z28's there! We were kind of disappointed not to see any others there, but glad we went, so the 77's would have some representation at the Superfest. Just wondering because this is the worlds largest all Camaro show. |

It has been instersting reading. I have a 77 z28 picture on my profile. I have to orignal engine and wheel. Right now it is bored 30 over and has a hot cam. It is a 4 spd car. Has a 4.11 rear end in it. I am thinking about butting it back to orignal. Roger http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/539693 |
