Hi guys

Just about three years ago, i bought the car of my dreams, a 71 camaro RS, that here, in argentina is a VERY hard to find, and yet more hard, in restoration conditions ( with work to do on it).

... I love this car, i was working on it a lot of time, after my work, in free hours ( i work at systems engineering, so i'm very busy at the day time ).

....I have a little garage where the car are sleeping now.... a LOT of people say there is not enough room to work, however, i could overhaul it, repaint, redo some parts, etc, etc.

...The problem is that a LOT of people say me: (in one or another manner)

why don't you simply SELL the car ?
why did you overhaul the car ?
For what reason did you ....
and the same stupid questions

And MANY people say it....obviously, i LOVE the car and i do not want to sell it, (except i would be in a situation where i MUST to sell it )....

I believe they have so many ENVY or something similar, or that they simply HATE the car..., also simply DON'T KNOW what the car means...

Did you experienced something similar with your CAMAROS ?

What do you think about people like this ?

Don't feel bad - you're not the only one who gets asked these types of questions. My favorite so far, "What do you want with a 33 year old car?"

For years, when my car was a little rusty (well, a LOT rusty) my family told me to pay the junk man $25 to haul it away. I'm glad I didn't listen to them!

Everybody appreciates different cars, rice burners, ratrods, classics, retro... whatever. I have a 1975 Camaro that holds no appreciation value out of all the camaros ever made. My comments are usually why would you put all that money into a 75 and not a 67,68,69 and so on.Why because I like it. Ive had it since I was 18. Dont bother explaining yourself to any one just do what makes you happy. Thats the beauty of a free society! Also I doubt youll hear comments like that here on this forumn. I have never met a jerk yet.
