Well, I've been a lurker here for quite some time, garnering information and knowledge. What a great site! Good job.

Anyway, today I finally got my 1976 Camaro LT. My best friend's dad drove it 2000 miles from Pennsylvania to Park City, Utah, through rain and snow. Guess how much he wanted for the car? $325 to cover the mechanic's bill to check out the car before making the trip. So, naturally, I gave him $400 and some Deer Valley ski passes. What a guy! (him, not me)

It was the mechanic's (same guy who checked it out before the trip) grandma's car before my friend's dad owned it. With only 72,000 miles, it handles as nicely as any car I've ever owned, runs as smooth as butter, and hauls a$$. Nevermind the hideous rust.

Anyway, glad to be aboard. I'll be posting many questions soon!

Kyle

Oops, just decoded the VIN. It's actually a '77 Sport Coupe with the 305. Turns out Scott didn't know exactly what his dad had! Let the fun begin!

Welcome to your new addiction - Camaros and this site!

I have a 305, too. Don't let the guys here fool you - they are just as much fun, unless you're looking to do some racing...
