Hello! My name is Aaron and I own a 1976 Type LT Camaro. I bought this car in 1993 when I was 17 years old and over the next 8 years I out 130,000 miles on it as my daily driver. In 2001 I bought a 1997 Acura as my daily driver and my Type LT was reduced to a garage dweller in need of work.

Well, yesterday I took the day off from work and pulled her out and changed the oil and anti-freeze and washed off all the dust that had collected over the past year and a half. I started her up and she sounded as good as she did when I first got her. So now I have been bitten by the bug and plan to make her street drivable again. She isn't the prettiest car in thw world, but I have big plans that will probably take a few years to fulfill.

So over the next few months, I plan on doing some critical repairs like the front-end and brakes, which I have done a few times in the past. Please excuse any rookie questions, but I want to make sure I do things the right way the first time.

Yup, gotta say welcome too. Not only tons of info, but you can hang out and make friends with a good bunch of people with a similar interest. Keep in mind though...
...do this ...as much as this

it can become pretty addicting.

Thanks for thr welcome! I have always worked on my Camaro, so I am defintely not afraid to get dirty. I have done everything from springs and complete rear end replacement to redoing the body and paint (which didn't last long with my bad luck). I am really looking forward to reviving my Camaro.

Spring is a little community just north of Houston. I have been a Texan my whole life - was born in Tyler, lived in Lubbock a few years and then lived in Sugar Land, Houston and now Spring for about 20 years.
