I'm new here,have 81 camaro,406sbc,aiming for 10's
Is there a place on this site or anywhere online that has a parts list of what each part weighs etc.? car is on a diet

Try posting the question in the body restoration section.. I know that someone went through painstaking efforts to actually weigh everything off his car, and the people who hang out on that side of the board would be able to point you in his direction.

You might try looking and posting a question in the BS Forum. I seem to remember someone going back and forth about part weights a few months ago.

When I got my Camaro, I sent an email to Chevrolet customer service stating that it was my intent to restore the vehicle. I asked them if there was any information at all that they could provide to help me. They sent a packet in the mail that listed options available, vehicle dimensions, and the weight of various options. You could try this route or email me with a fax number and I'll fax a copy of the options and their respective weights to you. The weights would be for the 1980 model year, buts yours would be just about the same.
