This is all original number match 114K car.
I talked to the orignal owner. Has all the paper work from when he bought the car.
350,L-65 250HP, 2V, 4 SPEED, RS, P/S, P/B. Needs paint, no body work. Very litte interior work to be done. It has been sitting out side for a year or so, not running. Starts up needs tune up and muffer. What would you offer?
Need to know!!!

Have pics by chance... How would you rate the car from 1-to-10 -- 1 being bad.

Until I could view it by pictures, I would offer $6500-8000. Maybe more for the #matching engine and original paperwork...

I'm talking blindly without images of the RS...

It is a number 8 car. The old man that owns the car is going to take to a body shop or car lot to see what the value is.
He will not give me a price. I have had 4- 67,68 camaros, 71, 72 , 73 RS and Z28 camaros. This is one of the nice's 70 RS original car I have seen in a long time needing little work.

Goodness, sounds like a sweet deal! Keep us informed on what happens! If you rate it an 8 out of 10, I would think the price would be greater than what I stated earlier. Probably pushing $12K. What's the guy's name and number <teas'n ya'! haha! > Good luck!

According to nadaguides, low retail for a 70 sport coupe, 350, 4spd, RS is $6938, so Lanette is right in the ballpark (and she scours the internet for deals quite a bit...in her spare time of course).

Unless he is personal friends with the owners of the body shop or used car lot, I seriously doubt he's going to get an accurate (or honest) value from them. If it isn't too late, ask him...nicely...to go right ahead and get their opinions, but to at least give you an opportunity to buy it once he has a price in mind. Who knows, they could say they'll give him $3000 for it knowing full well it's worth more and you could get it for $4000.

Of course I'm just throwing out wild-a$$ numbers but you never know.

Let us know how you make out...good luck...and pics if you get it!

Still working on it. I have been calling the person once a week to keep on top of it.
He is willing to sell, but not sure of a price. Last night I talk to him and the brakes are locked up. Car that sit out side for awhile around here, the front calipers or wheel cylinders will lockup, from the rain. The body shop that he is going to ask is were he had the car painted about 10 years ago. That is when I first saw the car. Back then it was drop dead gorgeous. So I have been keeping an eye on this camaro for along time. I offer to take the car the way it is. I am going to try at the end of this week.
