Not sure if this has been asked before Mike or not, but how difficult would it be when responding to a thread topic, you could click a "email response wanted" when a member answers a question or butts-in inquiring themselves (along the same topic)? Get what I mean?
For example:

at page:

http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/000679.html

I have asked a rallye inquiry, and I could check a box wanting an email should someone respond to this thread.

Would this be more of a pain than it's worth? This idea would be a fantastic manager for one's wanting their answers/inquiries forwarded to the recipient's email box for reviewal. .O2

when YOU post the topic at the bottom there is a check box you can mark for that now.

[x]Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible.

since your asking for an e-mail because you are interested in someones topic and are seeking the same answer, I guess you will just have to follow the thread for now and see what Mike may think

C-Man, I know about the "email notification" thing when STARTING a thread... I'm specifically asking about POSTING REPLY to a thread and THEN being able to [x] email notify ....

Just hoping to make somethings easier for da' members, but this idea may not be feasible...

dakdawn, this has been discussed before. There are a couple of reason that isn't available. One of them is the strain that it would put on the server to send out so many e-mails. Odds are that it would slow down the server so much the the board would actually run slow.

Also, I don't think its a built in functionality of the software.

Who do you think rewrote this place so it functions specifically for us?

The email notification has been discussed before in this section.

IE and Netscape will both allow you to "subscribe" to a web page. I forget where it's done exactly, somewhere abouts where you set your book marks. I use this for threads that I want to keep an eye on but did not start myself. Worked great for the calendar stuff
