First of all I want to say hello to all members and introduce myself in short form. I'am 45 years old, live in Germany (Hamburg), work as an Software engineer and own my '70 SS(I hope it is one) for 20 years. It has lot of rust in the back and the A pillars are gone too, so once a week I play "shopping at moementum" to find out what the sheetmetal will cost.
I bought the car in this condition 20 years ago, I didn't start a restoration because I've been through a few hard times in the 20 years and don't wanted another "parts car for sale"-story and I'am really happy that I did it this way. But actually I think about starting the restoration.
Right now I try to decode everything on the car and I really need your help.
I've read everything on this site about decoding a '70, but I have 2 problems.

1) I do not find the numbers

2) If I find a number, it do not look like it should.

But I think this is something for the "Original Drivetrain Topic". So I keep posting there.

Hello to all and best regards,

Uwe Luebbers

Best of luck on your restoration.

Do you have the VIN numbers? (on the dash)
or the Cowl Tag numbers? (on the drivers side unver the hood?)
