Another new virus hit the computer world a couple of days ago. It's called the: "w32.blaster.worm" This virus affects your internet link and an error window pops up advising you that an "NT/Authority" will be shutting down your computer. A timer shows in the window and the clock starts ticking. Yes, it does shut down your computer. How do I know???CAUSE I FRIGGEN GOT HIT WITH IT.

Symantec.com has a temporary patch to fix it. If you have "Norton Anti-Virus" it is recommended to down load the latest update, so that it can remedy the situation, if your unfortunate like me to get it. It is also recommended to go to the microsoft website and download their latest update.

Good luck! (cause I certainly need it!)

I know,,,,,I'm laughin' now,,,but it wasn't funny then.....I'm sure you know it's P.I.T.A.

Here's the virus that was removed

C:\windows\system32\TFP1728.

My "Norton Anti-Virus" didn't pick it up until after I downloaded the patch. Even though I have the "automatic live update" feature on, for some reason, it didn't download that updated patch. As soon as I did, it removed that virus.

Whew!
