I love when I show up here and can see the icons for all the topics and threads that have changed since my last visit, but it used to bug me that after I'd been here for a while it always seemed to mess up and say that nothing was new anymore.
I finally figured out that whenever I click a link to another site it must "reset" the time of my last visit here and thus show that there are no new posts. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? Is it my PC settings or the server? Or do I just have to live with that if I want to go to a posted link?

yeah go to the top of your browser and all the way to the left is file click on that and the drop down menu will say new at the top click on that and a sub menu will say window click on that and it will open up the same page so you can save the page and keep searching other sites

My browser does open up a new window, but as soon as I close that window to go back to browsing the forums it "resets" all of the flags showing new posts....
Hmmmm.... maybe I'll try to copy and paste the link in a new window instead of clicking on it???

sounds like you may have cookies turned off or something like that, mine keeps all the icons when I click over it doesn't affect the original page at all

I think I have it figured out...
I must use the "back" button too much - I don't seem to have any problems if I use the "tree" at the top of the page to go back to the main board page.

Thanks!
