I just got off the phone with Michael, and I received the best Father's Day present that anyone could want. Dan was taken out of the ICU Saturday and Laura was discharged late Sunday. Laura still has a long road to recovery; the doctors estimate 6 months. Dan has been transfered to his own room and is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday. I don't know for sure what will be done, because Michael had not seen the doctor before we talked

Michael is still at the hospital with Dan and has not had a chance to read his mail. He wanted me to express his deepest thanks to all of you for your support and prayers. He hopes that Carlisle went well.

We just got back from San Antonio to see our 2nd son graduate from the Air Force Basic Training. It was an enjoyable time, but throughout the weekend, I kept wondering how things were progressing here. This is great news to return to. It sounds like a long road to recovery, but that's a lot better than the alternative. God is good, and prayers are being answered.

Skip, your son and his family are the greatest. I wish them all a speedy recovery and I am sure they will be up and running before you know it.

Skip,
Thanks for taking the time to post an update. I am sure that your son still has his hands very full. What a blessing and it sounds as if you and Mike both got a great Father's Day gift.
