Thanks for all your prayers. They're obviously working.

Some other info:
The people who saved dans life
http://www.emoryhealthcare.org/ehc/emoryflight.html
The hospital where he was brought
http://www.choa.org/

I have a lot of help from our family and friends. I believe my great-aunt had a hand in this too. Lauras parents are upstairs with dan now. This morning dan was taken off the respirator. He's strong. He's (normally) alert. He's trying to get the hell out of here (or chase the nurses) so I need to keep him in his bed. He's looking good. We have a long road ahead and dan will need surgury but it looks like he'll pull through with minimal damage. I've been told he won't remember the wreck and probably won't remember his stay in the hospital. I'll do my best so he'll remember where he was and who helped him, and hopefully so others will benefit from this experience as well.

Laura, I miss her. She sounds a lot better than she did yesterday. She's torn up because she can't be here right now. But all things considered, she's doing fine. She has a 6 month (to full) recovery period.
She will probably be discharged within a week.

Me & Dan are going to hang out in Atlanta for the forseeable future.

Our friend went to get lauras purse out of the van last night and she was shocked. She couldn't see how I could have gotten out of the van, nor how any of us could have survived since the van was totally destroyed.

Thanks again for all your prayers.

I'm glad to hear Dan is doing better. Ya'll just hang in there and try to get some rest.
Being a mom, I can certainly understand how Laura must feel not being able to be with you guys right now. Tell her for me to "keep her chin up" and get PLENTY of rest. She will be "up and at 'em" in no time.....

Take care!
Carol

Mike .

Extreamly glad to hear everyone is on the road to recovery and even though it will be a long one , i have faith that you'll all be strong enough to make it through .

You've been blessed to still have them all here and to have a second chance.

Life is always pressious but even more so when we have a close call.

Support , Prayer and love will get you through this.

IF THERES ANYTHING YOU NEED , Feel free to ask, im just in Knoxville , not far away.

GOD BLESS .
