Mike, I'm so glad to hear that Dan is doing well, I'm sure he'll pull through. All will be will in time. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Just keep things on track there and take care of everybody.

Don't worry about things on the BB. We will take care of ourselves without you to babysit us for a while.

Good Luck to you and the whole family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mike,

I was out of the loop for a few days and just learned of the bad news.

FWIW, here are the three steps I recommend:

1) Dummy up on the details. 2) Keep on taking care of the family like you are doing. 3) Lawyer up quickly. A good one can get you a check with lots of zeros in it. You sure didn't ask for situation you are in but you have to play the ball where it lies. Play it smart.

God Bless.

Prayers are being answered. Keep on the best you can and keep the faith, even if the news about any of it is not 100% perfect (it seems to have been thus far). Thank you for the update, many of us remain on standby to do anything you or the family needs. Hoping that Danny can get rid of the nasty tubes in the throat ASAP. Kids are amazing and they fight but rarely complain like us "grown ups"! Continue to channel the anger about the accident for now into fatherly love and support as you already have.
God Bless
Brent

I am glad to hear everyone is doing better. I am sorry though that it happenned to such a wonderful family and its even harder when its a child that is hurt the worst. Kids are pretty tough and bounce back fairly well. My family's prayers are going out in hope of a fast recovery for everyone.

God Bless and Take care of yourself

Mike;

Thank you so much for keeping us updated. As you know we are all anxiously awaiting more good news for Danny, Laura, and your whole family.

Although we've never met in person, only emails and this board, I have been overwhelmed with emotions after learning of this mess. It's exactly like having this happen to my brother and his family, That's what you are and mean to myself and so many people on this board.

Continuing our prayers!

Jeff

Mike, hang in there and don't let the frustration of feeling helpless get you down. Trust in those that are qualified to deal with the situation, but ask tons of questions.
If it was a car problem you could grab some tools and make it right. With this you just sit and wish there was something you could do.
I know exactly what you're going through. About three weeks ago I was sitting at Stanford Hospital Intensive Care Unit with my 12 year old hooked up to all the monitors with a neck collar and knocked out on morphine for 4 days with a head trauma injury. He was freestyling on his bike without a helmet and wiped out bad. He had brain swelling in the frontal lobe and blood tissue buildup. He came out OK after a week and is back to his same old stupid stunts again. Within 5 days of getting released he was back to doing stunts and without a helmet again. Needless to say he is on a major grounding. No TV, computer, bikes (motorcycle or peddle), no stereo, no phone, no friends visiting and I shaved his head so he will remember to take care of it. He looks like Kwai Chan Kane from the Kung Fu series. I call him Powder, from that movie with the albino kid in it.

Like Psycho said, ask questions, and demand answers. I lost a good friend last weekend, and I've been talking to The Man a little more than usual, and I'll be sure to mention you and yours. God Bless.

Forget everything else and take care of your piece of the world. As strange as it seems, it will more than likely only make your family much stronger and closer. You're in my thoughts Bro.

Mike,
You are the rock of gilbraltar(sp). It's people like you and your dad that make this world a better place. I am so proud to say that I belong to your web-site!!!
You are what makes life worth fighting for and also make it a better place for Danny and all of our kids.
If there is anything we can do, just let us know. I know that it will be a long recovery for you and your family, but please remember that your second family is at your beckon call.
Let us know where we can send flowers and cards!!! I would think that your son and wife might enjoy getting these items from there second family.

God Bless You and Your Family!!!!
Way To Go DAD!!!!

If your son if fighting the doctors off already- I'd think that's about the best sign you can get that he's through the worst of it.

Keep up the good fight.

I'm glad to hear things seem to be getting better for Danny. He and the rest of your family remain in my prayers.

I've got teary eyed a few times over the last couple days reading about what happened, your courage, Danny's condition, and the overwhelming support you've got. I think this is probably the closet group there is on the internet.
