Another board I belong to (1911.org Forum)has an option that sends you an e-mail whenever someone replies to a thread you answered (yours or someone else's). The site also allows you to "unsubscribe" to particular threads it you don't want the e-mails.

This makes follow-up answers a little easier if you don't have the time to search the entire message board, looking for previous posts you posted on.

Is something like this possible with SGCOG?

Thanks

You can check the box that says "send email if someone replies". I think this applies only to topics you start.

Could there be an option to send e-mail notices if you replied to someone else's thread?

The short answer, no.

Is this the 3,856th time this has been asked or the 3,857th

the other boards that have that option as well as other have the luck of using newer BBS software. The software that runs this BBS is somewhat older and has been very customized by Mike. Thus making it difficult to add newer features. Not to mention the over head new features add.

Best way to track threads you want to watch is to use the subscription options in Netscape and Explorer. The commands should be in the book marks menu. basically when you book mark a page there is an option to have Explorer or Netscape check the page at an interval you choose and email you.
