so, lets see how our trusty politicians react to this report. cant wait to see what happens now for those of us in california. let me guess, mandatory car disposal for any car over 10 years old?? a limit of 4 cylinder per engine in any make or model?? drum roll please...

from Yahoo News today 4/1/03

>> For four years running, cities in California have been named America's smoggiest in an annual air-quality ranking released today by the American Lung Association, which hopes its ''State of the Air'' report will rally opposition to proposed changes to the Clean Air Act.>>

and of course, this is all of the muscle car hobbyist fault.

yeah it has nothing to do with the oil refineries, or major manufacturing complexes, it's the car that gets driven 50 miles a year that is causing all the trouble

Lycoming makes very large displacement 4 cylinders. unfortunatly i don't think the numbers are too high, their just really reliable engines. like 180 hp?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. California always tries to pass some law that rids us off the streets but never goes through. Knock on wood. The worst they can do is tax the crap out of us. But, if I had the kind of fundage I would need to have I would definately move out of California.
