Hello All..just wanted to say hello and thank you for all the info we have found on this site. I bought a 79 sport coupe about 6 months ago and bought the wife an 88 about 3 weeks ago. I was raised on a Hemi Charger..my wife was raised on an Australian Charger. "Crazy Horse" is our 79..the paint job changes colors..purple to a grayish blue..with flames..centerline rims..50's on the back..air shocks..C'mon give me a break..I was raised up on Panama City Beach Florida..the interior is out of my 84 Iroc Z28( I love those reclining seats and the Camaro clock in the console)..the motor is out of a 69 Z28..with a 12 bolt 3.73 rearend..

My wife's ride is a white 88 coupe with weld racing rims..a 305 which is being replaced with my 350 vette motor..and the 3.73 rearend from the 84 Iroc..believe it or not I picked this car up for less than 500 bucks because the rearend ( stock 2.73 open)was making a terrible noise.

It is an awesome experience, sharing the same brand hotrod with your wife..even tho we are getting on in our years..you couldnt tell it when we get to talking camaro modifications. We arent too much into the racing scene..nor the restoration scene..we just have a love for driving our hotties around everyday. I suppose it has to do with the era we were brought up in..tho in seperate countries..we both love fat tires..thumpin V-8's..loud mufflers..lots of chrome..

We live not far from Myrtle Beach S.C. now and hope to continue getting ideas and tips from all of you..I am definately impressed with the info I have acquired here so far..my only regret is that I didnt buy my first Camaro until I hit 42..I wish I had experienced this when I was 18..

Again..Thank you all for making this site well worth the ride!!!!

welcome to the board. We need pics, Lots of them!!!!!! Myrtle Beach....hhhmmmmmm, maybe a place to stay on vacation...LOL! Enjoy those fats tires out back, I grew up with those too, to each his own, that's what makes rodding so fun. Glad your wife loves it to. Mine keeps trying to sell mine when I'm not home.
