I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to Art's family.

I have only been a member of this Board for just over a month, and I have really enjoyed reading all of Art's words and wisdom. Even through the distance of this computer technology, I knew he was a great man and I had a lot of admiration for him. I would sit and read threads and watch for when Art would log on and offer his opinion or knowledge. Even in this short month that I have been priveledged to have contact with Art, I learned so much from him!!

I am amazed by the courage and strength his wife Teresa has shown, to log on to the message boards that he was a part of in order to let us all know about this tragedy, so shortly after loosing the man she loves. I can't imagine all the things her and her family must be going through.

This makes me realize how precious life and love are.

May light, love, happiness and hope surround and support the Rasmussen and White families.

Today is the day they are having the services for Art. We are being represented at the service by our member Arron Spitzer (AKA PonyEater). This is a day to remember Art's life and what he meant to everyone he touched. Please take a minute and reflect on what our friend brought to our BB and lives. May God bless Art, his family and all of you, his friends, today.

I may also go to the service(although, i better get crackin' if I want to go). I have actually had the pleasure of meeting the man, in his shop(in fact, I just went up there last Thursday. He was so excited about his "camaro killer" chassis he was working on). If you had a question, he would write you a book, show you a book, draw you a picture, or scrawl it in crayon, to make sure you understood the concept. And... He told GREAT stories He would almost always use an anecdote from his past, to help explain something. HEY ART!!!!! wherever you are... WE MISS YOU!!!!

I'm with the rest of you it's really too bad even though I didn't talk to Art I did learn alot from his postings.
If somebody wanted to look after it I would be willing to send a cheque so that we could make a lump sum donation from the board if everybody sent five bucks even it would be a sizable donation.

I wish to express my condolences to Art's family. Art was a true giver in his field and of his knowledge. He shared his experience and insight with us, and we'll miss him greatly. It's rare that we get to meet such a generous person, and he'll be sorely missed.
