    Did a 79 Z28 ever come with a 305, or were they all 350's?

All 350s in 1979. The 305 didn't show up on the Z28 until later.

    Thanks,
The car i have has all the Z28 badges, and steering wheel, but the when i decoded the vin it reads 305 engine. Im a little upset about that.
It has a 350 in it now.
Whats the difference, other than the motor between a Z28, and a regular Camaro? They look the same to me.

The Z28 had the Z28 trim pieces. (hood scoup, fender vents, front spoiler)
Also, the Z28 had performance gearing, dual tailpipes, and performance suspension that the non-Z28s didn't have.

check the engine block pad at the front below the pass side head. There should be a partial VIN that match the main VIN and also a ENGINE code suffix that describes the engines use /type.
