    There's your bolt, Chuck!
It is missing the concentric rings around the "M" that Charleys' has. So Close!

I bought these...somewhere...years ago which have the rings. Can't remember where. Keep searching google for other vendors. Try the other Corvette suppliers like Paragon or Corvette Central.

Wow, thanks Buddy. That pic reminded me that I have set of those "M" bolts. And sure enough, I found a whole set in a parts box in an unopened bag. So, for now I'll just use these.
Interesting thread. Thanks for all the input.

One thing that bothers me is after seeing only one example......
Is the 1/4-20 M head mark with circle the only correct bolt? Or are there other head markings that might have been used?

FWIW...Bolt from Jack Seymour's documented 22K mile Norwood survivor. It doesn't look like the style shown in the assembly manual drawing in post #9 though.

Mine are this style bolt but have different markings. I'm pretty sure they're not original so I'm not posting a pic to confuse things.

That's two different head markings. I could not find this SBC head marking in the 2014 AMK catalog either.
I went with the ones Buddy suggested - IMG_3298.JPG
Time to move on to another detail.

I'm good. I found me a couple of M head markings with the rings. I had some rubber nuts.
