Looking for an EGR valve for my 73 Z28 with a TH400.
#7047065 is the part number for a 73 Z28 with AT. #17051866 for a 74 Z28 with AT would work, too.
    NOS, used, etc.
Please post here or PM me if you have one.
Thanks in advance for the help. :bowtie:

Billy let me know if u find a good source for these, the one I found for my 73 is clocked wrong, not sure what its from but the nipple for the hose points down instead of forward and i see no way of turning it without destroying it.

10-4, Bill. I've found a lot of new EGRs that state they are for a 73 or 74 Z28. However, when you check the replacement numbers the vendors reference against the GM Master Parts Catalog, they are just for a standard 350 and not the 350 Special High Performance.
As you found out, the nipple needs to point forward and not down. Also, you have to make sure the base is more of a square and not oblong or saucer-shaped like 75 and up.
Here's a good thread on EGR valves.

Rust Bucket, please let me know what you have when you can.

Bill, that's the right shape of the 73-74 EGR. I think the date code is July 20th, 1972. Not sure about the part number, but I'll check the MPC tonight. The only ones I have are 67-72 Camaro and 67-74 Camaro.

Mine look like the picture, but not sure of the dates. They were mounted on the correct 1973zZ28 manifolds. It will be a few days before I can get out to my shop, if you'e not in a huge hurry I'll get you pictures then.

Bill, here's a pic from my 67-74 Camaro MPC. It's from Canada and they use ST for standard transmission instead of MT for manual transmission.
    Looks like #7035169 would fit a 73 with a 6-cylinder and AT.

Thanks Billy, I'll probably just use it for now. Just bugs me that the nipple points the wrong way, especially since u can see it pretty good from the side. I'll get my wife to ship out that package for u probably in Thursday
