Bob Wolfe from Sun Valley Auto Glass installed the new windshield (hat tip Greeny). Bob is a super nice guy, he's been installing glass for 40+ years. Very knowledgeable and experienced (ran Safelite for many years, on his own for 17 more).

Bob puts a ~1" strip of black primer around three sides of the glass to help hide the body metal flange and a-pillar molding gap.

Installed by hand in my garage.

Needless to say, I am extremely happy. Need glass? Call Bob at (480) 722-1885, he's in Gilbert.

Definitely a good day when you get down to installing the glass. It sure breaks the wind when driving. I drove mine around for several weeks up and down the streets doing maintenance runs without the glass installed. It sure made a difference.

Just curious, what was the total cost of the glass plus install?

    $190 total, glass and install.

Now I need to restore the windshield and rear window trim.
A couple choices, strip and polish? Or strip polish and replate?
Anyone know a good shop that can strip, polish and replate the trim?! Big bucks...$$$

That's cheap! I'll call Bob when it is time.
