Where do you guys buy buffing pads? What size are you using?

I have a harbor freight buffer that came with a 7" buffer pad. So, I'm assuming I'll need a new backing pad as well...

you'll need a real (3M or similar) backing plate to replace the POS harbor freight gives you.

i buy my detailing supplies from autogeek.net

    Thanks for the link!

What size pads are you guys using? Any particular reason for choosing that size?

several different sizes from 3" to 8", depending on which of my buffers I"m using, and what I'm buffing. I have a 3" air rotary, Porter cable D/A that takes 5" for finishing work, and a Makita full size

Thanks! The tutorials on this site gave some good insights on pad sizes vs type of buffers.
