    Sprayed it black in the early 80's because of rock chips.

    Not 10k. You can do a chit load of work with that.
    I want a list of stuff that ate the 10k. I paid $6400
    for my 77 Z28 that I ordered new.

    Next time you need all that stuff done, I'll do it for $5k and I'll still be ahead. That's just plain crazy.

    lol that's funny, I'm sure my 70 was only a few grand brand new too but had pry it from the previous owner for over double that.

    When you pay to have stuff done, the labor gets you quick! I'm sure I only scratched the surface on what was done.
    I remember years back my mom had a car she was making road worthy for me and the shop charged her nearly a grand alone for just a new clutch!! A front to back checkout, parts, maybe a detail and paint buffing on top of that...yeah cha-ching

    Hell maybe the engine or transmission rebuilt

    I can see if the engine and trans was rebuilt, but I didn't read that.

    I think he must have meant ONE thousand in receipts

    or the shop he took it to charges $500/hour

    I was way off with how much was put into the car... Sorry I got everyone riled up! Here's the receipts for what was done. Just basic stuff to get it back on the road.

    almost $1100 for a compete front brake job? JOKE!

    plug wires, cap & rotor almost $400 !!!

    OP they saw you coming and I'll bet they are LAUGHING their rip off asses off
