I'm going to be running a MT 3754x 275/60r15 (28.2 x 11.4) drag radial in order to stay classified as a small tire... I am told that a 10x15 rim with 5.5 backspacing will work with this tire on an 81 with stock width rear end. (please correct me if i've been misinformed here...). Now I don't know what rim and tire to run in the front. (wheel size and offset, and tire size and type). 3600 pound camaro....13sec car. Also, would you recommend this rear tire for almost all strip use?

I'm pretty sure mine on the front of my car are 15x4 with 1.75" backspace.

I just noticed that the rear tire I'm talking about suggests a 9.5" wheel width? I'm thinking most wheels are 10"... I was planning on getting a 10". The tire section is 11.4" and the tread is 9.5".

    .

Be careful with those rear wheels.
    I have a stock width rear end and a 10x15 @ 5.5 won't fit, I'm at 4.5".

Don't worry about mounting them, we run a 10" tire on 15 x 15 all the time.
    It works just fine.

The fronts are the fronts, whatever style you like works fine.
The tiny bit of difference in BS doesn't make any difference on our cars.
3.5 or 4", all fit any front runner with zero issues I've ever heard about.

    Good luck.

Most of the guys I've talked to said 5 to 5.5 bs for a 10x15 and 4.5 bs for an 8 x 15 wheel.... Hmm. What did yours hit? the seat belt area? the leaf spring? So your'e saying that a 10x15 with a MT 3754x 275/60r15 (28.2 x 11.4) drag radial would fit better... without rolling the quarter?

I'm running 15x8 Weld Drag lites with 4.5bs mounted on a M/T 275/60 15 drag radials and they fit perfectly and it handles all the abuse my R/foot gives it on launches
