The copper (brass) part in the upper right, in my 1971 Rally Sport. Non-tilt steering column.
I believe that is the key buzzer contact.
(Lets you know you left your key in the ignition.)
Twist_Metal got it right. Be careful if you pull it out there is a flat tension spring that keeps it tight, the spring can fall down in column
True that...mine just did. Does anyone know if the collar can be removed without major surgery?
