That's true, but I did put a fail safe thermostat in it. I had a cheap gauge in it and the gauge worked fine. It was a mechanical gauge and it's just like another member wrote, "go with a fail safe" and if the next sender comes in and reads off, that's exactly what I'm going with. The gauges for a 73 Chevrolet truck look identical for half the price of a Camaro gauge, the only difference at all is they don't have the little red marks on the high end. I've already done my oil pressure gauge that way, looks and works fine. It fits right in the cluster.
