cleaned my engine compartment yesterday with simple green and all i can say is wow!!:)

get a gallon container of simple green and mix a 1:1 ratio with water into a spray bottle and spray down your motor then rinse off with a garden hose .you'll be surprised how clean your motor will be and the simple green won't stain chrome, aluminum or stainless steel

I've been using that for years. Try it on your white lettered tires. Works great!

    Cool engine.
Don't use it full strength on warm, polished aluminum. (Makes it foggy looking. :( )

my dad showed me another trick with white lettered tires, grab some fine grit sandpaper and just sand down a little bit until it shows white instead of dirty eggshell color.
