Ultimate Street car Association USCA, aka Optima challenge qualifier was held at Thunderhill raceway in Willows CA. It was a great turnout with about 70 cars competing in 4 classes. The event had 5 events the competitors competed for up to 25 points each, including AutoX, speed/stop, road course, road rally, and design/engineering. If any of you enjoy a fast, safe, and generally good performing road car, this may be for you. Entrants vary from retired race drivers to soccer moms wanting to get a little crazy. The event is fiercely competitive for those who make it such, and fun and safe for those looking to just try it out.

Custom Works entered 2 cars in the event. Keith finished 3rd overall in the GTV class, and Sean Johnson in his debut to national racing finished a sound 10th. Custom Works also had a lot of its customers participate in the event, including Mike Armienti aka Glass Man, and Brian Bataglini, Geon Mckenzie, and James Larieau all with very little track experience.

We had a Speedtech torque arm, but have pretty much replaced all their parts after they broke. We run a set of special valved Vi-king shocks now. Rear end worked well, most important it didn't break!

    Keith and Seans handywork ^^^^^^^

Works very well. First time with the DSE set up on the road course and the second time ever on the road course and finished mid pack.

Kudos to the boyz at CustomWorksPerformance, it speaks for itself.....Mike
