Only pic I could find right now
They won't sell me just the strut and mounts, I don't want the hinges, I'm not taking the panel apart.
That looks good but I don't like the hinges
I'm confused. What is wrong w/ the stock torsion spring? That is the only part on my 79 Camaro that has never broken. That and the fuel sending unit.
There is a special torsion rod for the cars that came from the factory with a spoiler . Also they just get worn out . The gas strut is a little severe fix . The 75 cent PVC fitting is a lot cheaper and less permanent . See post 23 .
you mean just wedge something under to leave it open???
That's not even a fix
Just use a broken broom stick and save the 75 cents..
Yeah he has something against this fix. Has from day one. It works and looks good. To each there own I say. Works better than factory and no knocks on the head from the trunk lid falling down.
Sorry I removed all the pics from photobucket. Photo bucket has gotten retarded the way they have it set up now. Clay has some good pics.
Another pic. Vinnie I thought I had more
Edited these in.
I got a cheaper install, AND IT RETAINS IT FACTORY COLORS AND LOOK!!!
Take your broken front valence, and VIOLA!!!!!!!!!
